Exactly How Does My Performance One® Visa Prepaid Card Work?

It’s quite simple, really. Each award point you’ve earned gives you one dollar to make purchases. Your award earnings are automatically deposited onto your Performance One® Prepaid Card. Then, when you use your Performance One® Prepaid Card to make a purchase from a participating merchant, the dollar amount is deducted from your card account balance.

So It’s Just Like Having Another Credit Card?

No, your Performance One® Prepaid Card not a credit card, but the value is based on your point earnings! It’s accepted only by the Performance One partners appearing on this website and your program website.

How Can I Use My Performance One® Prepaid Card?

At participating merchants’ retail locations you can present your Performance One® Prepaid Card as payment. Or if you prefer shopping by catalog, use your card number to order by mail or by phone with participating merchants. And if you just can’t wait that long, use the Merchants or Travel Suppliers links above to access merchants’ Web sites, where you can use your Performance One®Prepaid Card for secure ordering online with participating merchants.

Can I Find Out Which of These Shopping Options a Particular Merchant Offers?

You bet you can. Although many of our merchants offer all three shopping options, through their catalog, phone or online, others may provide just one or two shopping options. Simply look for the icons in the merchant’s or travel supplier’s ad that indicate which shopping options are available for that merchant or travel supplier.

You Mean I Can Also Use My Performance One® Prepaid Card for Travel Options?

Absolutely! We’ve devoted an entire section of this Retailer Guide to travel accommodations — cruises, hotels and resorts, car rentals and vacation packages from the industry’s top suppliers. Simply phone the supplier and provide your card account number.

  • When a supplier requests a credit card to hold your reservation, we recommend that you use another means of payment.
  • Using your Performance One® Prepaid Card to place a reservation puts a hold on your card account funds.
  • We recommend only using your Performance One® Prepaid Card to pay for actual services rendered.

Can I Use My Card to Book Travel Through a Travel Agent?

No.  There’s really no need to go through a travel agent. We’ve designed our redemption system to be simple enough for you to book your travel directly or through the Travel by Design Travel Concierge service. That’s why our suppliers won’t honor travel-agency bookings that involve your Performance One® Prepaid Card.

What if I Want to Buy Something that Costs More Than My Current Account Balance?

Not a problem. If an item or travel option costs more than the balance in your card account, you can easily supplement your balance using a credit card, personal check or cash. In fact, most merchants will let you mix and match funds to pay for your purchases. For example, you can request that a merchant deduct a specific amount from your Performance One® Prepaid Card, then pay the remainder with another form of payment.

Expiration Date

You’ll find your card expiration date printed on the front of the card.

Balance Inquiries

You can view your current statement and funds available anytime on this website by clicking on the Online Statement link at the top and login to the card account. You can also check the balance of your card account by calling the toll-free number listed on the back of your Performance One® Prepaid Card. These services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for your convenience. When checking your card account balance via the toll-free number, you will be given your current available balance to spend.

Merchandise Returns

You can always return an item you’ve purchased to the merchant and have the purchase amount credited back to your card account (less any cancellation penalties that may apply to most travel services). Please allow several days for the credit to appear in your card account. Sorry, but refunds cannot be made in cash.

Special Offers and Sales

We encourage you to use your card to take advantage of special offers and promotions from participating merchants and travel suppliers.

Lost or Stolen Cards

Call Performance One® Prepaid Card Services toll-free at 844-815-1852 immediately. Lost or stolen cards can be reported 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Performance One Customer Service (800-478-9311) can also assist you Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 p.m. Central Time. Your card account will be cancelled and a new Performance One® Prepaid Card issued. It is important that you report a lost or stolen Performance One® Prepaid Card promptly. Until you call to report the incident anyone who has your Performance One® Prepaid Card can use it.  If you request a new Performance One® Prepaid Card, it will ship via US Mail and should arrive in approximately 10 to 14 business days.  A service fee will apply. Expedited shipping can be requested for an additional fee.  See Cardholder Agreement for a full list of fees.
